Ruth SWART Obituary
News Death Notice
SWART, Ruth M. age 102, of West Alexandria, went home to be with the Lord on Friday morning, March 22, 2013. Born in Newark, OH, she was a daughter of the late Rev. William Allen & Nora Elizabeth (Davis) Wilson. She accompanied her husband in his pastorates in Littleton, CO; Corning, OH; Detroit, MI; Dayton, OH; Eaton, OH; and Sydney Australia. She attended the First Church of God in Eaton and formerly worked as an assistant supervisor at Rikes Department Store in Dayton. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death in 1989 by husband of 57 years Rev. Gilbert E. Swart: son Melvin "Bud" Swart in 1989; and granddaughter Aseneth Schweikert in 1954: sisters Beatrice McKnight and Frances Kelley: brother Rev. Emerson Wilson. Survived by children Leona Schweikert & husband Ed of Owosso, MI; Bonnie Shafer & husband Miles of West Alexandria; Stanley Swart & wife Carolyn of Raleigh, NC; daughter-in-law Beulah Swart of Camden, OH: 11 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 18 great great grandchildren: sister Oiva Prior of Portland, OR. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at the First Church of God - 601 E. Lexington Rd. - Eaton, OH. Friends may call on the family at the Church from 5:00 - 8:00 PM Monday, and from 10:00 - 11:00 AM Tuesday. If, desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Eaton First Church of God; or InWord Resources, Inc. - PO Box 42-531 Middletown, OH - 45042; or Hospice of Dayton.
