News Death Notice
KERLEY, Sheila Yvonne 55 of Dayton, OH, was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 8, 2012. She was born in Fort Mitchell, AL to the late Harriet Dukes and Rufus Kerley. She attended Meadowdale HS and was a graduate of The National United Church Ushers Association of America. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church where she served on the Usher board for many years. Preceded in death by sisters Vanessa Kerley and Kathy Jackson. She leaves to cherish her memory 1 daughter Shonnetta Kerley, 2 sons Dwayne and AD Kerley, and a special nephew DAngelo Kerley. 3 sisters Veronda (Wendell) Jones, Virginia Smith, Juanita Tillman, of Cleveland, OH, 4 brothers, Kevin Kerley, Vincent Cross, Darren Kerley, Brett (Regina) Kerley, 11 grandchildren. A host of relatives and friends. Funeral will be held Friday Nov. 16th at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 380 S. Broadway St. Family will receive friends from 12PM to 1PM. Arrangements entrusted to Thomas Funeral Home. Interment West Memory Garden.

Too the Kerley family.....i am so sorry too hear of Shelia's passing!!! She is resting peacefully now in God's house....no more worries or pain!!! I send my deepest sympathy and my heart felt condolences.....May God bless this family in their time of sorrow!! Amen.

We'll miss our sister and friend of 50 years. She was always a force and strong personality. I loved her and I especially love how she found that God is the answer.
We are family with different parents, but family never the less. Kevin I love as my brother as I do each of you.
We share in the pain of Sheila's passing and God will help our hearts.

I know it is difficult during these trying times, but through it all never forget your Faith in God. Knowing him is amazing and Ms. Kerley knew and served him dutifully. I will continue to pray for your Family. Just know that she is resting in the Holly Arms of the Lord as she is sleeping in heavenly peace. God picks his most beautiful flowers for his Garden early. She will be missed but not forgotten.
