Sheryl Rhodes

RHODES, Sheryl Lynn Age 52, born December 12, 1964 in Dayton, received her wings Wednesday, June 14, 2017 after a lengthy illness. Sheryl graduated from Trotwood-Madison High School, Class of 1983 and is also a graduate of Montgomery County Joint Vocational School. Prior to her illness, she worked for the Montgomery County Board of MRDD and was also an active and dedicated member of her church. Sheryl's pride and joy were her grandchildren, which she spent a countless amount of time with. Sheryl was also an avid reader. Preceded in death by her grandparents, Glover and Christine Carpenter, James Jackson and Willa Bee Rhodes; uncles, Arthur Cox, Winston Reed. Sheryl is survived by her parents, Willa (Charles) Reed, Leonard (Pamela) Rhodes; children, Brookes Rhodes, Ashley Rhodes; sisters, Kimberly Garcia (Nick Garcia), Michelle Bush (Norman Bush); brothers, Byron Rhodes, Korem Rhodes, Christopher Reed; grandchildren, Kei'Mauri, Kei'Anthoni, Brook'Lynn, Brookes Jr., Payton, Cam'Ron; special loving and devoted aunts and uncles, Catherine Cox, Birdie (Booker) Izell; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A celebration of life will be held 10 am Thursday, June 22, 2017 at the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Rev. Ian Gibson, Peoples Community C.M.E. Church, officiating.
