News Death Notice

CLEVER, Stanley B. Sr. 83, of Xenia passed away Saturday, April 26, 2008 at VA Medical Center. He is preceded in death by his parents Harry and Jane Clever; brother Lester Clever; and son-in-law Dan Switalski. Stan is survived by his wife of 61 years, Doris Clever; children Bruce (Diana) Clever, Jan Switalski, Glenn (Donna) Clever, and Robin (Kate) Clever; 12 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 2 sisters; 2 brothers; and numerous other family and friends. He was a veteran in the U.S. Army, 101st Air Borne, G Company, with service during WWII. He was a POW while serving in the European Theater and received numerous medals including the Purple Heart. Funeral services will be held 10:00AM Saturday, May 3, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00PM Friday, May 2, 2008 at the funeral home. Grandad...there are no words that i could write on here that says how much i love you. how much that i am so proud to be YOUR grandson. you taught me so much about life. I will miss our talks sitting out on the swinging chair. But what ill miss the most is seeing your loving face smile at me one more time. i love you grandad ...and ill miss you.

One of the best guys I ever worked with. Not only a war hero, but a totally genuine man in every respect. This guy always gave 110%. Its been 30 years since I saw him. I only hope he had a wonderful life. God rest his soul.
