Thomas COTE Obituary

COTE, Thomas Barclay

The Family of Thomas Barclay Cote sadly announces his passing November 10, 2020, after a short illness. He was 63 years old and was born to Virginia Conklin Cote of Dayton and John Jameson Cote of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, January 12, 1957, in Dayton. He attended the Miami Valley School on Denise Drive Kindergarten through the 9th grade. He finished High School at the Hotchkiss School in Lakeville, Connecticut. His college years were spent at Dennison University and the University of Dayton.

After college he joined his brother James Cote at The Carillon Furniture Company. He loved working with his hands and could repair and refinish furniture beautifully. The last five years were spent in the landscaping business working outside and making every garden and yard look wonderful.

He is survived by his mother Virginia C. Peck and three Cote brothers; John, James and Daniel, four Peck brothers;

William, David, Ford and Myron, one sister, Sarah Peck Zeiger.

He loved the sports of soccer and golf. He played soccer all his school years and afterwards with other soccer enthusiasts in the Dayton area. He grew up playing golf at the Moraine Country Club where he lived on the third hole.

He was married briefly to Katherine Hannah who also played soccer. He was a wonderful caring person who would help anyone and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
