News Death Notice

FITZSIMMONS, Thomas E. age 76 of Springfield, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012. Thomas was a veteran of the US Army and retired from General Motors after many years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret. Thomas loved to travel and will be missed by his children: Deborah Gill & husband John, Patricia Deis & husband Dwayne, Carol Tolson & husband Mark, Thomas Fitzsimmons, Catherine Burlingame & husband Alan, Kellie Jobe & husband Mark; 10 grandchildren: Amanda, Ashley, Matt, Megan, Allison, Sean, Maggie, Bryan, Aaron, Becca; and many other relatives & friends. Family and friends may call Wednesday, June 20, 2012 from 5 PM to 8PM at the MAGETTI GAVIN FUNERAL HOME, 1508 Valley Street, Dayton. A Prayer Service will be held 9:45 AM Thursday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said 10:30 AM Thursday at the Church of the Ascension. Entombment to follow in Calvary Cemetery.

I just saw today the news of the passing of Mr Fitzsimmons who was a dear man and a customer of my company. I am so saddened to hear as he was a sweet, kind, dear soul. Prayers go out to his family.

Tom was a super nice guy. I worked with him at the old Inland/Delphi West. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. God Bless all of his family and friends.
