Thomas POEPPELMEIER Obituary

POEPPELMEIER, Thomas L. Age 72, passed away at Hospice on May 28, 2018 after a courageous 3 year battle with cancer. Tom was born on September 1, 1945 in Dayton, OH to the late Paul and Lillian Poeppelmeier. He was preceded in death by his brother Paul Jr. Tom is survived by his wife of 51 years, Pat; sons, Mark & fianc? Sabra Wilson and Todd & wife Katie; grandchildren, Joey, Sydney, Jack, Harvey, Azi (Woolfolk); brothers, Roger, Charles & wife Mary, Bill Poeppelmeier; sister-in-law, Kay; his loving companion dog, Hershey II; and our many close relatives and friends in OH & FL. Tom was a 1963 graduate of Chaminade, served in the Army (Vietnam) Life member VFW 3438 West Carrollton, retired Electrician Local 82. Thank you everyone that has supported us over the years. In lieu of flowers please consider donating in his name to, Hospice of Dayton or V Foundation @ (jimmyv.org) Cancer research. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 from 5-8pm at Newcomer South Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439. The service will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 11am at the funeral home. Tom will be laid to rest at the Dayton National Cemetery.
