Mr. Weprin gave us the best Christmas we ever had. I was 7, and in came this truck with toys, food and candy. I am now almost 38, and can remember it like yesterday. Thank you Mr. Weprin and family.

To the Weprin Family. I worked for Mr. Weprin in 1977 to 1978. I really thank him and the brothers for giving my kids the best Christmas ever. Such a GOOD man. Thanks Lee M Lewis SR

My father, Delbert “Oscar” Bailey, worked for Mr. Weprin at Main Auto Parts in the '50s. He was a glass cutter and later sales manager. We lived close, so many days as a little girl I would walk to Main Auto Parts to meet Dad at his quitting time. Tom, as he was always called in our home, was always welcoming and friendly to me. I remember a Christmas party thrown for all the employees and their children one year, an extremely generous gesture considering Tom was Jewish. Each of the children received a Christmas present. I don’t recall what mine was, but I remember it was a great present, something rather large, something a close relative would have given me. Again, very generous. I believe Dad also got his Christmas bonus at the party. I remember Tom hosting his employees and their families at a breakfast at his country club. We were not a family “of means” and our chances of having breakfast at a private club were slim. What a special treat that was. I am now 65 years old and still remember where I sat and what a delicious breakfast it was. Tom’s name had the ring of royalty in our home. My dad started his own business in 1957 and was extremely successful from the start. He often said he owed it all to Tom and the things he learned from him personally and from the work he did for him. Dad called him "very light handed" as a boss, and a man who gave credit where credit was due. Unfortunately, Dad was struck by lightning and killed in 1957. If he were alive today, he would surely have much to add to this note.
My sincere condolences on your loss of a generous and great loved one.

Dear Barbara, and family,
So sorry for your loss. It is most dificult to see last generation going, and finding ourselves as "keepers of the gate."
I pray time will turn the thoughts and tears to joyous remembrances. I am,
With warm regards,
