ROBERTS, Tyler L. 23 of Springfield, lost his long battle with the disease of addiction on Wednesday, October 12, 2016. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on March 31, 1993. Tyler enjoyed music, reading, working on cars, being outdoors, and spending time with his family. He was always ready to learn something new. He leaves behind to cherish his memory a daughter, Steveelyn Roberts, and her mother, Jody Arnold, of Enon; grandmother, Denise (Gary) Kuhn of Springfield; father, Dave (Tonya) Lunsford of Felicity, Ohio; mother, Tonyae Stacy of Wyoming; brother, Blaze Roberts; sister, Alexis Lunsford; grandparents, Veldon (Nina) Stacy and Sam and Pam Lunsford; great-grandmother, Phyllis Wells; aunt Jessicae (Will) Faris; uncle Josh Stacy; nieces and nephews, Lillie, Austin, and Payton; cousin Alex Stacy; and many other family members and friends. Tyler had an infectious smile. For those who have any loved ones who are fighting addiction, Tyler's family asks that they be supportive and encourage and guide them to seek help before it's too late. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Saturday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Services will start at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Forest Godin officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tyler's family.

I remember Tyler from when we both were going to McKinley Hall he was always nice and yes always with a smile. I did not know he was a Roberts though. May he Rest In Peace. My prayers go out to his family.

God bless you all... thank you for having the courage to speak out about Tyler's disease. So many people in our community and the nation suffering from addiction especially opiates. Praying for strength in the difficult days to come.

Very sorry to hear this..Addiction is such a bad thing.I have family mambers on drugs.It hurts,but so many times there is nothing you can do except pray.and I pray for the family.

Prayers for comfort during these sad, devastating days ahead. I met Tyler a few years ago and I was there when he became a father, the smile on his face and the happy tears in his eyes when he brought steevelyn out to see us. I'm sorry that this has happened and I'm gonna pray hard for the family. I lost a son the same way at 18 years old exactly 1 year ago on the same date so unfortunately I know the pain your going thru. And I'm here for you all if you ever need anything. RIH Tyler. You will be missed
