News Death Notice
WRIGHT, Velma G. age 78 of Dayton passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2012 in her residence. She was born in Ringo Mills, Kentucky on September 6, 1933 the daughter of Herman William & Catherine Bernice (Harris) Jimison. She was a member of the Miami Shores Baptist Church, Dayton. She is survived by her husband Mervil Wright, children Barbara (Gary) Griffith, Kathy (Jerry) Key, Sherry Crosley-Breno, Howard F. (Debbie) Suiters Jr., and David (Mary) Wright, 14 grandchildren Heather, Craig, Leah, Ryan, Travis, Kali, Kevin, Kira, Abby, Brittany, Miranda, Alexis, Forrest, and David Jr., 15 great grandchildren, 7 brothers and sisters Kenneth Jimison, Aileen Wamsley, Arnold Jimison, Jane Schreffler, Danny Jimison, Oleta Porter and Sam Jimison, and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and 6 brothers and sisters Edward Jimison, Dean Jimison, Robert Jimison, Jo Puckett, Jeff Jimison, and Larry Jimison. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2012 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm in the BLESSING FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr. Tipp City. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Doug Surber officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City. Grandma was one of the strongest, bravest, and most beautiful women I knew. She has raised her daughters and granddaughters to follow her lead, and for that I am forever grateful. Her legacy will live on. I will miss her dearly each and every day!
