1927-2025. Memorial Service Thursday, October 2nd, 2pm, Westminster Presbyterian Church. Streaming live at Westminsterdayton.org. Mrs. Stofer inspired, led by example and cheerfully included me in every instance when I was lucky enough to share time with her! Wanda's support and encouragement as i finished a music degree, participated in bell choir at Westminster Church and played piano for different events at Westminster and at restaurants around the Miami Valley kept me going when times were tough! Her remarkable comments on a paper I submitted, (which Mrs. Stofer assigned us to compose in our Middle School Music Methods course at WSU - I completely lucked out to be in her class), were some of the most kind and encouraging comments I ever received in any class at any school, at any age. I try to remember her words when in need of patience and encouraging nature when working with piano students and playing for a church where I am employed as pianist. She did say, after a brief post service recital I gave at Westminster, that the next recital should be memorized! .. Her strength, faith and kind support continue to be some of my most fond memories of anyone with whom I had the opportunity to meet.
To her family and friends, please accept most heartfelt condolences from one who will always be grateful Mrs. Stofer and I shared some of life's paths.
