BLAIR, Willard age 86 passed away April 4, 2011 at the Dayton V.A Hospital. He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings; step-son, Ernie Adkins, grandson, Phillip Stebbins. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Julia Blair; children, Sandra Stebbins, Willard David (Norma) Blair, Marsha Blair, Pamela Phillips, and Richard Blair; step-children, Paula (Jim) Bradfield and Dennis (Frances) Adkins; step daughter-in-law, Candace Adkins; grandchildren, Jay Adkins, Jonathan (Pam) Bradfield, Julie (Todd) Kettler, Dan (Staci) Adkins, Jeremy (Lara) Adkins, Chris Adkins, Mark, Micah, and Rebekah Stebbins, Amber Blair, Matthew Blair, Anthony Ackerman, Melissa Ackerman; great grandchildren, Jacob and Anne Bradfield, Sabrina, Brandon, and Pheobe Kettler, Madisson and Alex Adkins, Harper and Rowan Adkins, Hayden and Julia Ackerman. Willard served as a proud veteran in the United States Marine Corps during WWII. He was a long time member of Open Bible Christian Church in Dayton. He was a very giving man and will be greatly missed by all. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 7, 2011 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Open Bible Christian Church, 4715 Burkhardt Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45403. A funeral service will be held April 8, 2011 at 12:00 pm at Open Bible Christian Church, Pastor Randy Grimes, officiating. Interment at Dayton National Cemetery. I will remember the stories he told me about mom over the years, particularly the one where he cancelled a date to take her skating or to the movies when she was a teenager. I'll miss him very much. His Gr. Niece, Kathy Strain (Lona Blair-Kelley's granddaughter)

I will always remember the kindness he showed to everyone he met. Willard was a very loving man and a devote Christian. I will miss him dearly. May the family feels God's presence during this time.
