GROVES, William C. Of Middletown, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 21, 2018. William was born April 22, 1921 in Bath County, KY. William brought his family to Middletown, Ohio in 1955. They were faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church on Jackson Lane in Middletown for 56 years. Preceding him in death was his wife, Dorothy of 71 years; son, Bert Groves; his parents, Elijah and Dora Groves of Sharpsburg, KY. William was the last living son. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ben, John, Tom and Paul; sisters, Mary and Ollie May. William is survived by his son Bill and daughters, Melody and Angela; 8 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home, 6850 Roosevelt Avenue, Middletown, OH 45005. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 12:00 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Roger Green officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
