News Death Notice
ROBB (Ret.) Col., William Gallagher Col. William Gallagher Robb (Ret.), known as Bill(y) and Scotty, died peacefully on June 25, 2015, after a long, hard-fought battle with cancer. Bill was born in Hardwick, VT, to the late William M. and Nora Gallagher Robb. He is survived by his three daughters and their husbands, Gayle and Dick Booth of Sumter, SC, Mary and Joe Weasel of Columbus, OH, and Jayne and Rob Connelly of Dayton, OH; brother, John Robb and his wife Connie of Venice, FL; two sisters, Barbara Whalen of Williston, VT, and Clare Cowell and her husband Tom of Saratoga Springs, NY; eight grandchildren, Jayne Booth Shiver, Richard Booth, Megan Weasel, Morgan Weasel, Griffin Weasel, Elizabeth Connelly, Anne Connelly, and Mary Connelly; and a special friend, Annette Rowell Robb. He is also survived by the children of Marion Faye Robb, deceased. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Saint Katherine Drexel Catholic Church, 1922 SW 20th Avenue, Cape Coral Florida, 33991. Graveside funeral services were in Fairview Cemetery, Hardwick, VT, at 1pm, July 31, 2015. Holcomb-des Groseilliers Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Uncle Bill was an incredible gift to all of us blessed to know him. As a child and his god daughter, I will always remember his warmth, grace and those beautiful eyes that shined through even when his smile took over his entire face. What an incredibly beautiful man. I send my love and prayers to all of you. Such a legacy he left behind in each of you. Peace. Jody

Billy was so much more. Grew up in Hardwick and graduated from Hardwick Academy in 1948.A member of St. Norberts Parish. Graduated from St. Micheals college 1952 in Winooski Vt, and received his engineering degree from University of New Hampshire while still serving his country.
He was a humble man; only recently, for some, knowing all he did for us. A shining example for all those who served before him, with him, and those who follow him. God Bless. You will be remembered.

We are so sorry Billy is gone ... my parents (Jim & Jean Ainsworth) were very close to him ... their Air Force connection allowed them to see each other all over the world. Rick and I especially enjoyed our visits with him at Caspian and in Cape Coral.
