Michael V. Mueggenberg

Michael V. Mueggenberg March 5, 1963 - June 3, 2019 Michael V. Mueggenberg was born March 5, 1963, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll, Iowa, the son of Vernon and Mary Claudette (Meighan) Mueggenberg. He passed away June 3, 2019, in Carl Junction, Missouri at the age of fifty-six. Michael received his education in the Carroll, Iowa, schools and graduated from Kuemper High School with the class of 1981. He was employed as the manager of cleaners at Iowa Beef Packers and then worked at a salvage company in Council Bluffs, Iowa, setting up their computer network. He moved to Joplin, Missouri, where he had resided for the past fourteen years. Working on cars and rebuilding them was his passion, having most recently worked on a 1973 Camero. Michael found great contentment sitting on the porch and watching the birds, dogs, cats and deer after he fed them. He loved animals and owned a couple of dogs and twelve cats. He also enjoyed fishing in local ponds. Sunday dinners with family and watching television, especially NASCAR racing, also provided many memorable moments.Michael was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Debra Davisson; and one brother, Roger Mueggenberg. Survivors include his siblings: Paul Mueggenberg and Karen Bertrand of Des Moines, Iowa; Allen Mueggenberg and wife, Gena of Quapaw, Oklahoma; Sue Wendt and husband, Jeff of Denison, Iowa; Barbara Stevens and husband, Rodney of Heber Springs, Arkansas; Steven Mueggenberg and wife, Karrie of Carl Junction, Missouri; Sharon Rooney and husband, Darrin, and Tom Mueggenberg and wife, Theresa, all of Joplin, Missouri; other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial for 56 year old Michael Mueggenberg of Carl Junction, Missouri will be held 11:30 A.M, Saturday, July 20 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Vail, Iowa, with inurnment in the St. Ann Catholic Cemetery in Vail. The Huebner Funeral Home in Denison is in charge of arrangements where friends may call from 5-7 P.M., Friday, July 19 with a Prayer Service at 6:30 P.M. He passed away June 3 in Carl Junction, Missouri.
