Patsy "Pat" Lee Cook November 12th, 1935 - March 13th, 2023 Patsy "Pat" Lee Cook, age 87 of Missouri Valley, IA entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 13th, 2023, surrounded by her family at CHI Health in Missouri Valley. Pat was born November 12th, 1935, in Mondamin, IA to Joy (Clark) Powell and Kenneth Fellows. She was raised by Paul & Joy Powell. Pat attended Mondamin High School where she managed the lady's basketball team until she graduated in 1954. She married Jerry L. Cook on June 30th, 1957. To this union three children were born. Pat dedicated 55 years to the family's farm, taking care of critters and 19 years to the Missouri Valley Community School District as the Secretary for the high school. Pat loved her sons deeply and always made sure they were taken care of, which would sometimes include staying up at all hours of the night. She attended every sporting event that the boys were involved in. From football games and basketball games to baseball games and track meets, Pat could even be spotted supporting her boys at the racetrack regularly. Pat was believer in Jesus Christ and taught her kids and grandchildren the gospel. Music played a big role in her life. Pat had a talent for playing the piano and was the pianist at Calvary Baptist Church for many years. In her free time, she was an avid roller-skater, and could often be noticed skating backwards in her white skates with red and white pom-poms. Pat and Jerry traveled all over the United States and Canada for bowling tournaments. Pat loved her grandchildren and the time she was able to spend with each and every one of them. She enjoyed teaching them about life's lessons and telling them stories about their parents. Pat is reunited in Heaven with her husband of 65 years, Jerry Cook, mother, Joy Powell, father, Paul Powell, and Kenneth Fellows, and grandson, Alex Cook. She is survived by her sons, Dennis (Lorry) Cook of Missouri Valley, Dale (Lisa) Cook of Underwood, Jerry (Kim) Cook of Missouri Valley. Grandchildren, Jared, Jon, and Josh Cook, Tyler (Chelsey) Cook, and Leslie Cook, Colton Cook (Abby), Lexie (Noah) Myler, and Ashlyn Cook (Creighton). Great grandchildren Coraline, Mirabell, and Royce Cook. Funeral Service was held Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Hennessey Funeral Home Missouri Valley, Iowa. Pastor Wayne Bahr, Officiating. Music Selection included "It is Well with my Soul", "It is no Secret", and "Because He Lives". Honorary Casket Bearers were Jared Cook, Jackie Gdowski, Leslie Cook, Lexie Myler, and Ashlyn Cook. Casket Bearers were Jon Cook, Josh Cook, Tyler Cook, Noah Myler, Colton Cook, and Marty Lager. Final Resting Place is Rose Hill Cemetery, Missouri Valley, Iowa.
