Emma Melcher Obituary
A sales associate at Macy's until age 96, Emma devoted her long life to work and to gardening, so she could share flowers and vegetables with friends and associates.
Among survivors are daughters, Marlene "Marty" Stover and Barbara Shepherd; son, Stephen "Steve" (Donna) Melcher; daughter-in-law, Sally Melcher; 12 Grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; and a son, Fred. Funeral services, with the Rite of Christian Burial, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John Lutheran Church-Flatrock in Monroeville. Officiating will be Pastor Christian.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at the church, and one hour prior to services Thursday.
Preferred memorials are to St. John Lutheran Church-Flatrock; or Parkview Hospice.
