Barbara Kreuer
Wilmington - Barbara Kreuer (90) of Wilmington, Delaware passed away peacefully on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2020 while hearing her children pray the "Our Father" over her as she entered God's Kingdom.
Barb was born to Clara (Rogers) and George Binder on June 12, 1930 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She is a graduate of Saint Mary's High School (1948) and attained an Associate Degree from the College of Mount St. Joseph (1950) both in Cincinnati.
Barbara married Edward A. Kunkel in 1950 and they had a son Gregory. After being widowed for 5 years, Barbara married Jack Kreuer in1958 at which time he adopted Greg (wife Susan). Barb and Jack had 3 children together, Keith (wife Megan), Jeffrey (wife Tina) and Pamela. Barbara had 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Barbara had four siblings, Mildred Ibold (husband Donald), George Binder (wife Barb), Elaine Primrose (husband Ron) & the late Robert Binder (wife Judy).
Barb was an extremely active member of the Wilmington community since the family moved to Delaware in 1967. Barb, a devout, lifelong Catholic, was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. She served as a volunteer for the American Red Cross, the A. I. DuPont Institute and was active in politics. Barb found her calling as a volunteer with her beloved Ministry of Caring spanning over thirty years. She was a founding member of the Ministry Guild and served in numerous leadership positions including Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Mass will be said for Barbara onsite at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church Friday, January 29, 2021 at 11:00am and will be livestreamed at
