Barbara Swinger Obituary
Wilmington - Age 88, passed away Friday, June 18, 2021.
Born December 17, 1932 in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Hannah (nee Rosensweig) Alper. She graduated from the University of Delaware, where she met and married Samuel Swinger. Barbara was a pre-school teacher at the Siegel Jewish Community Center for 10 years.
Preceded in death by her husband, Samuel; she is survived by her children, Stuart, Margi Zuber (Chris), Debra, and Jeff (Lisa); grandchildren, Lindsay, Josh, Casey, Thomas, Taylor, Anna, and Shannon; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Avery, Leila, Jaxson, and Elijah; and former daughter-in-law, Laura Faline
Graveside services will be 12:00 pm, Friday, June 25, 2021 at the Jewish Community Cemetery, 401 Foulk Road, Wilmington, DE 19803. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Congregation Beth Shalom, 1801 Baynard Boulevard, Wilmington, DE 19802.
