Kirkley
Age 92 of Landenburg, PA, died Thursday, January 25, 2007, in the Union Hospital Of Cecil County, Elkton, MD.
Born in Hammorton, PA, on March 18, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Howard and the late Bessie B. (Perry) Owens. She was the wife of the late W. Burnite Kirkley who died in 1986. She retired from George T. Chardy & Sons Memorials, Kennett Square, PA, where she was employed for many years as the Office Manager. Mrs. Kirkley was a member of Hammorton United Methodist Church, Hammorton, PA.
She is survived by 2 stepsons, B. David Kirkley, of Elkton, MD and Donald L. Kirkley, of Rising Sun, MD; 5 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 27, at 2 pm, at CROUCH FUNERAL HOME, 127 South Main St., North East, MD, where family and friends may call 1 hour prior to the service. Rev. Stephen Schappert will officiate. Interment will be in Friends at Calvert Cemetery, Rising Sun, MD.
