AGE: 87 • Bradenton, FL
Carl N. Bender, 87 of Bradenton, FL, formerly of Wilmington, died Friday, April 7th 2017 . He was born in Charleston, WV and lived in Nitro, WV during his childhood. He was an Engineering graduate of West VA Univ. and a U.S. Army Veteran. He was employed by Atlas Chemical Co in 1964 and retired in 1992 from ICI Americas (Astra Zeneca)
He was married to Edie Bender for 67 years. He is survived by her and their two Sons, Rick and Bob and their families. His parents and one sister preceeded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at Toale Bros. Funeral Home in Sarasota, FL on Tuesday, April 11th, 2017 and burial will follow at the Sarasota National Cemetery.

Carl was a good and kind man and a faithful volunteer for years at Adopt A Family helping provide Christmas presents for thousands of children in Manatee County. Always willing to help wherever he was needed, he touched the lives of many..
