Mrs. Carolyn W. Farrow, age 74, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2008, at Christiana Hospital.
Mrs. Farrow was born in Wilmington, DE on November 2, 1933, daughter of the late George Wehner and Lillian Ainsworth Wehner. An administrative professional throughout her career, she retired from the DuPont Company after 15 years of service.
With her husband, Mrs. Farrow was one of the founding members of Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she attended faithfully. In her leisure hours, she greatly enjoyed traveling to the beach, solving crossword puzzles, caring for her pet cats, and, most of all, spending time with her beloved family.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, Daniel W. Farrow, Jr.; sons, Daniel W. Farrow IV and wife, Joy, of Ridley Park, PA; and Glenn D. Farrow and wife, Nancy, of Coatesville, PA; and grandsons, Daniel Farrow V and Stephen Farrow.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Monday, September 8, 2008, at Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church, 230 Christiana Road at Edinburgh Drive, New Castle, DE, 19720, where visitation will begin at 10 am. Interment will be in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in memory of Mrs. Farrow to Hope Lutheran Evangelical Church at the above address.
