Unity, NH - On Friday, August 13, 2021, Cecilia Ann "Chic" Nothstein, loving wife and mother of two children, passed away at the age of 90, in Unity, NH.

Chic was born on May 17, 1931, in Summit Hill, PA to Gennaro and Pasqua Collevechio. She graduated from Saint Ann High School, Lansford, PA, where her athletic abilities won her great acclaim.

Chic married John P. Nothstein of Mauch Chunk, PA on June 1, 1957. They were happily married for over 61 years until John's passing in September 2018. They raised two children, Joseph and Lisa.

After retiring from her career in retail management, Chic and her close friends became known for their gambling prowess in Atlantic City and at Delaware Park where casinos would often afford them special treatment.

She loved to garden and became particularly adept at growing flowers native to the mid-Atlantic region. Her and John loved to travel. However, Chic and airplanes did not get along. Her sole air travel was to Germany in 1988, where her and John also explored Italy and Austria, with son Joseph and his future wife Clorinda. She also loved the seaside, and spent many happy times visiting daughter Lisa in Lewes, DE.

Chic is survived by her son Joseph Nothstein and wife Clorinda of White River Junction, VT, daughter Lisa Nothstein of Lewes, DE, her grandson Dean Nothstein of Glendale, AZ, granddaughter Vincenza Nothstein of Columbus, OH, and sister Angela Yasson of St. Augustine, FL. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Mario, Thomas, Albert, John and James, and sisters Helen, Norma and Theresa.

Friends and family may visit from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 30, 2021 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 3200 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE, where Chic will be reunited with husband John.
