Chester A. Skorupa Of Claymont. Age 77. On Wednesday, April 7, in the Riddle Memorial Hospital, Lima, PA. Services: 2 p.m. Saturday April 10, at The Gebhart Funeral Home, 3401 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont. Friends may call Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. He was employed by the Scott Paper Company for 23 years, retiring in 1984. He also was a machinist for Congoleum Nairn Company, in Marcus Hook. He graduated from Chester High School and attended Drexel University in the 1940's. He served as a radioman in the US Navy in the South Pacific during World War II. He was the son of the late Anthony and Catherine M. Brzysky Skorupa, of Chester, PA. Brother of the late Benjamin P. Skorupa, of Las Vegas, NV, who died in 1984. Survived by his wife of 52 years, Eunice Esther (Beyer) Skorupa. A brother, Walter A. Skorupa, of Junction City, OR; sisters, Stella (Skorupa) Collins, of Orlando, FL and Mary (Skorupa) Queensbery of Avondale, PA and Jane Skorupa, of Trainer, PA; sons, John A. of McGuire AFB, in NJ and James C., of Walnut Creek, CA and David E., of Warwick, NY, and Daniel R. of Newark, DE; daughters, Nancy K. (Skorupa) Dillinger, of York, PA and Janet M. (Skorupa) Shelley, of Morris Twp, NJ; 11 grandchildren.
