AGE: 27 • Clermont, FL
Christine A. Healey, age 27, of Clermont, FL, formerly of Middletown, DE, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2015. Christine attended Cab Calloway School of the Arts for her middle school years and was a 2006 graduate of Hodgson Vocational High School where she won the Senior Exemplary Award for early childhood education. She went on to graduate from Wilmington College in 2011 with a degree in Behavioral Science and a concentration in early childhood education. Christine was passionate about photography and socks! After graduation she moved to central Florida and loved all that Florida had to offer. Christine enjoyed boating and fishing, visiting the theme parks with family and friends, relaxing on the various beaches, and ending the day with the gorgeous sunsets - especially in Clearwater.
Christine is survived by her parents, David and Sarah Healey; brothers, David Healey II (Mindy), and Michael Healey (Nicole); boyfriend, Michael Meglino; niece, Mackenzie; and grandmother, Ruth A. Smith. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, David Smith, and John and Betty Healey.
A visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, May 17, 2015 from 2:30-4 PM in the Limestone Presbyterian Church, 3201 Limestone Rd., Wilmington, DE 19808 followed by a service in celebration of Christine's life at 4 PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Christine's memory to Kids Beating Cancer/Florida Hospital, 615 E. Princeton Street, Suite 400, Orlando, FL 32803. Christine was not only beautiful on the outside but the inside as well. She was inspiring, positive and one of the happiest people I have met. Her love for children was quite obvious as the children would gather around her. Children know when someone has a gentle and loving spirit just as Christine did. She will be truly missed and heaven will be a better place now that she is there. I will always remember your beautiful smile.
