CLEMMIE RUCKER Obituary
Clemmie Rucker, age 67, of New Castle, DE, passed away at home on Wednesday, February 15, 2006.
Clemmie was born February 20, 1938 in Dwight, VA to the late Earl and Alice Ferrell. She moved to DE in 1954, and married Billie Rucker November 9, 1957. She enjoyed making custom draperies and owned C&S Window Treatments. Clemmie also enjoyed making crafts, baking and participating in craft shows.
She was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Billy L. Rucker, in October 2002; and her brother, Jay Ferrell. Clemmie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and JoAnn Rucker, of Newark; 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Anthony Barone, of Wilmington, Sharon and Richard Mullen, of Landenberg, PA, and Debi Rucker and Lou Geanopulos, of Wilmington; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Gladys Artz, of Oak Harbor, OH, and Pearl Blankenship, of Laeger, WV; 4 brothers, James Ferrell and Ray Ferrell, both of Laeger, WV, Alex Ferrell, of Auburn, IN, and Raymond Ferrell, of Richards, VA.
Relatives and friends may call at the CHANDLER FUNERAL HOME, 7230 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin, on Monday, February 20, from 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 21, at 2 pm, in the chapel at Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. Dupont Hwy., New Castle. Interment will follow in the adjoining park.
