David Rush Obituary
Cape May, NJ - David G. Rush, 69, of Cape May, NJ and formerly of Wilmington, DE passed away on July 4, 2018. Born in Norristown, PA, Dave lived in King of Prussia, PA and later Wilmington, DE before moving to Cape May. He honorably served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and later served in the United States Army Reserves. During his working years, Dave worked for the Wilmington Housing Authority as a property manager and more recently he worked for the Egg Harbor Township School District before retiring. He is predeceased by his wife, Donna Rush (nee Ward) and his half-brother, Joseph F. Rush, Jr. Dave is dearly missed by his loving family which includes his three children, Dave (and Erina) Rush, Ryan Rush and Brittany Rush; four grandchildren, George, Ryan, Brandon and Marissa; sister, Carol (and Phil) Tuturice as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Dave's funeral service will take place on Thursday (July 12th) at 11am in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, Delaware where interment will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Assoc. of America. So sorry to hear of the passing of Dave. He was my childhood best friend. I cherished the fond memories of all the fun I had with Dave. I know I will miss him even though I did not have contact with him in our later years of life but knowing he will not be around any more is breaking my heart. Many times I wanted to call him just to say hello but never did. I m truly sad that I did not take the time to do so. May God Bless him and bring him home to his Dad and Mom, Donna and Joe where he will be in peace for the rest of time. You will be in my thoughts and prayers forever. I worked with Dave at the WHA for many years. He would come to my office and we would discuss sports and politics very often. Dave was intelligent and had a great sense of humor. My sympathy to his family.

I worked with David at the Wilmington Housing Authority. He was always very supportive of the work that needed to done. He never complained and was great to work.
I am so sorry for your loss, but, I am glad that I had an opportunity to know him.
