Mr Scherer was a great teacher and a great inspiration as our theater coach. He was absolutely one of my favorites and a great help to me. I often think of him when I try to pas it along by helping a younger person

My deepest sympathy to Mr. Scherer's family. Mr. Scherer taught me English at Tower Hill in about 1975 (class of 1976), and I can remember his stentorian voice (and beautiful woolen jackets) even now. He provided us with a hugely helpful list of vocabulary words for the LSAT's and was a superb teacher who jump-started my life-long love of literature. Of course he will always have a fond place in my heart. He made this world a better place.

My mother has informed me of Mr. Scherer's passing. My deepest condolences to Mrs. Scherer, Mimi, and Frank.
I can still picture Mr. Scherer listening to classical music or laughing hysterically at a Gene Wilder comedy..... It seems like just yesterday.(tear in my eye remembering the happy times)

Wow what a great guy...My parents were so fond of the Scherer's and I remember many great dinners at our houses...may he laugh and rest in peace.

I was Mr. Scherer's student at Tower Hill (class of 70!) and babysat for you at least once. Mr Scherer was so vibrant, funny, and popular. I'm so sorry to hear that he suffered from Parkinson's and of his passing.
