Suddenly in the City of Wilmington, DE on Tuesday, July 11, 2006, Donminico's life was taken.
"CoCo", as he was affectionately known, was a fun loving person who meant a lot to all that knew him. CoCo lived his life to the fullest. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, board games, attending his children's track races, football games, riding his bike and traveling. He also had a special love for animals.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, Margaret Melton of Wilmington, DE and Donald E. Melton of Staten Island, NY; his children, Sakura, Donminico, Jr. Domonique, and Mya. He was a special father to Daja and Eric. He had too many godchildren to mention. Also survived by 4 sisters, Donnine Day (Tonda) of Atlanta, GA, Donnia Melton-Togbanyahn (Van) of New Castle, DE, Zakeya Goldsberry (Edmund) of Augusta, GA and Sunni Rollins (Roland) of New Castle, DE; grandmother, Margaret Byrd of Wilmington, DE; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends; and his lifelong companion, Jorgina Dennis.
A Janazah and Muslim Burial were performed on Wednesday, July 12, 2006, in Chester, PA. A Memorial Celebration will be held at the Belvedere Fire Hall, 1000 Liberty Road, Wilmington, DE, today, July 13, 2006, from 12 noon-4 pm.
