Donna Hoesterey Obituary
AGE: 52 • Wilmington
Donna Dugan Hoesterey, age 51 of Wilmington, DE, passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 5, 2014 in her husband's arms. Born in Jim Thorpe PA, she moved to Delaware to attend college. She was a medical transcriber for Christiana Care Health System for 27 years. Donna passionately supported her children's educational and sports related activities. She spent countless hours as president of both the Brandywine High School Football Boosters and Girls Soccer Team Boosters. She loved spending time with family and friends and her presence will be truly missed.
She is survived by her husband Rob of 25 years, her children, Robbie, Caitlin and Cody, her sister, Debby and nieces EmilyAnne and Lauryn. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marie Herman Dugan and several siblings. She will also be missed by a friend of her son, Billy, who was like another son to her.
Friends are welcome on Friday, July 11, 2014 from 9:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the CHANDLER FUNERAL HOME, 2506 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE, 19803. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 12:00 NOON at the Church of the Holy Child, 2500 Naaman's Rd., Wilmington, DE 19810. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to either the Brandywine High School football boosters or the Brandywine High School girl's soccer boosters, 1400 Foulk Rd, Wilmington, DE 19803. Dear Caitlyn and Cody, Faith and Alex and I are so sorry for what you all are going thru. Faith truly understand the pain that you are dealing with. It's been almost 3 months since her dad passed away and it's been very hard for her. She is so sorry that she can't be here for you or for the service as she is in North Carolina. But please know that you all are in our prayers and thoughts. Please tell your father how sorry we are for his loss as well. I wish there was something we could say or do to make this easier for you. Try to take some comfort in people's words. I know that though I only wanted my son back, it did help to know that so many people loved him. Your mother was loved by many so maybe you can take comfort in knowing that she touched a lot of lives. Take comfort in knowing that even though you want her back.
