Eleanor Newell Dailey passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 17, 2007. She was 94.
Eleanor was born March 6, 1913 to Michael and Mary Newell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry P. Dailey, in 1989; 2 brothers; 5 sisters; and 2 nephews. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ellen Vitsorek, of Elsmere, DE; her grandson, Jay Vitsorek, whom she adored, and his wife Susannah, of Middletown, DE; her best friend and sister-in-law, Dorothy Lindsay; a host of nieces and nephews that she thought the world of; and Brenda Saulsbury, whom she loved like a daughter.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 am on Wednesday, March 21, at Corpus Christi RC Church, 905 New Road, Elsmere, DE, where family and friends may call from 10-11 am. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest along side her husband.
Mary Ellen and Jay would like to thank the staff of Kentmere Nursing Care Center for the loving care they provided Eleanor for the past 15 months.
