AGE: 60 • Wilmington
Gary Paul Ferrante Sr. Age 60 of Wilmington, passed away on April 8th 2017 with his family beside him.
Gary was born in Philadelphia, Pa. on June 25th 1956 and didn't allow any limitations to dictate his path in life. He lived with self determination regardless of challenges and obstacles. Most evident is how he lived 2 1/2 years longer than a 4-6 month time frame that he was given when diagnosed with lung cancer. Gary was a steel worker from a young teenager and due to his work ethic and dedication to excellence, he held many positions until he started his own business, Panache' Mechanical. LLC.
Gary enjoyed his life to the fullest by riding his Harley Davidson, tinkering with his classic cars, listening to blues music, and doing crossword puzzles. He also greatly enjoyed reading, was always sharp dressed and collected watches. He was blessed to have many friends over the years and truly enjoyed their company.
His unparalleled pleasure, though, was being in the midst of his children Christine Lemanski(Steve) Angie Stevens (Craig) Gary and Bianca(fiancé Mike) and his grandchildren Kessy, Reign and Madison. He was constantly beaming when he was around them, as his adoration for each was obvious. Gary's humor, quick wit, devotion and generosity will be missed by many. His footprint though will remain ingrained.
A memorial service will be held on May 12th, 2017 at CHARLES P. ARCARO FUNERAL HOME, 2309 Lancaster Ave. Wilmington, DE 19805 from 6-8pm. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gary's memory to Disabled Veterans National Foundation, 4601 Forbes Blvd., Suite 130, Lanham, MD 20706

I was recently out of the service, pretty much lost in life.. Gary took a gamble on me and started me @ $19.00 an hour in 2005.. I worked my butt off for it and it changed my life, learned a ton and really respected him.. He was like a steel mill rambo.. total baddass.. Thanks for everything, Gary. I really appreciate all that you did for me.

Thinking hard about you for the past few weeks old man damn I miss you a lot wish I could talk to you right now and get your advice about some stuff going on right now with work and the house and the baby and just life in general those talks where vital and played a huge role in my life and the decisions I've made thanks unk I love you see you again one day
