Herbert Sommermann Obituary
Sommermann
Age 80, of Rio Grande, NJ, passed away on Monday, February 7, 2011 at the AtlantiCare Hospital in Atlantic City.
Born in Philadelphia and formerly of Pennsauken, he has been a Cape May area resident since 1987. He was a graphic artist and was the owner/operator of Cape Printing in Cape May form 1987 to 1994.
Herbert enjoyed model trains, fishing, camping, picnicking and visiting Douglas Park in North Cape May.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years Joan (nee Tempone); son Jeffrey (Linda) Sommermann of Wilmington, DE; and son Scott (Janice) Sommermann of Sewell, NJ. Also surviving are his seven grandchildren: Eric, Ashley, Brandon, Brian, Justin, Christopher and Natalie. Herbert was preceded in death by his sister Judith Schmidt.
There will be a memorial service at 11 am on Saturday, February 12 at the EVOY FUNERAL HOME, 3218 Bayshore Rd., North Cape May, NJ 08204 where friends will be received from 10 to 11 am. Interment will be private.
The family suggests donations in Herbert's memory to the American Cancer Society, 626 North Shore Rd., Abescon, NJ 08201 or St. Jude Childrens' Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. To share condolences,

Dear Joan and family. I know there is nothing I can say to make this eaiser for you. I loved you guys from the time we first met. We haven,t seen much of each other, but you were always in my heart.
