Of Claymont, DE, died Monday, November 5, 2007, in the Henrico Doctor's Hospital in Richmond, VA. He was 79 years old.
Born in Hebron, MD, Mr. Hearn was the son of the late Hillary Ray Hearn and Catherine Thelma Phillips Hearn. He was a graduate of Goldie Beacom College in Wilmington, DE. Mr. Hearn was a transportation manager for ICI Americas, Inc. in Wilmington, DE for over 30years before his retirement in 1989. He served for 4 years in the US Army beginning at the end of WWII.
Mr. Hearn is survived by his loving wife, Ruth B. Hearn of Claymont, DE; 2 sons, Curt Hearn of Metairie, LA and Daniel Hearn of Richmond, VA; and 2 grandchildren.
A funeral service will be 8 pm, Wednesday, November 7, at the MOORE FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 12 South Second Street in Denton, MD where friends may call from 7-8 pm. The interment will be 10 am, Thursday, November 6, in the Delaware Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE 19701.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be sent to the American Cancer Society, 92 Read's Way, Suite 205, New Castle, DE 19720.
