James "Roy" ALLEN

James "Roy" Allen Roy Allen, age 82 of Wilmington, DE passed away June 20, 2004 at the Masonic Home of Delaware, his residence since 2001. Retired from DuPont, Roy was the principal consultant for protective coatings and was recognized worldwide for his expertise. Roy also served in WWII as a second lieutenant and was a certified war hero. He also was a member of the Armstrong Lodge #26 AF&AM. Roy was predeceased by his loving wife, Harriett Carson Allen, in 2001, and is survived by his brother, Rufus Allen, of Ballston Spa, NY. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 25, 2004, Lakeside Cemetery in Dover at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Roy's memory to your favorite charity.
