Jane Mahoney Obituary
AGE: 83 • Wilmington
Passed away on Monday, July 25, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital.
Jane was the daughter of the late Harvey P. and Rose M. Scott. She was raised and lived in the Forty Acres/Highlands area of Wilmington. Jane resided in the home in which she was born throughout her lifetime.
She was a graduate of St. Paul's Commercial High School. She was a 7th Ward Republican Committee woman, Sunday school teacher at Immanuel Episcopal Church, Girl Scout leader, Board member of the Irish Culture Club of Delaware, secretary of the Beachfield, Rehoboth, Delaware Homeowners Association, a member of the New Castle County Irish Society, and a member of St. Ann Catholic Church.
Jane will be best remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Paul F. Mahoney; her daughter, Michele Mahoney Christopher; her son, Paul F. Mahoney, II; two grandsons, Eric Christopher and his wife, Monica, and David Christopher and his wife, Jennifer; and two great-grandsons, Ryan Christopher and Jacob Christopher.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, July 29, at 10:00 am at St. Ann R.C. Church, Union Street and Gilpin Avenue, Wilmington. A viewing will take place at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Highway, Elsmere, on Thursday, July 28, from 6:00-8:00 pm. Interment will be at St. Joseph on the Brandywine Cemetery.

It is with my up most sympathy to Paul and Paul jr.to hear of Jane's passing she was truly a great friend even though I had lost touch with her recently because of the passing of my mother she will be sadly missed I will remember the great times we had at the Lab where we worked .

Dear Paul, Michelle, Paul Jr. And family,
Jane was a wonderful friend of my mother, Charlotte Cross Davis. I remember visiting the Mahoney's many times as a young girl! After my mom passed I loved keeping in touch with you all with our Christmas cards and notes!
You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I understand what a difficult time this is and pray that the words of friends and family will comfort you. Jane was an amazing woman and will dearly be missed.

"The Lord saw that you were getting tired, And a cure was not to be, So he put his arms around you, And whispered, 'Come to Me.' With tearful eyes we watched you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, We could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, Hard working hands at rest.
