Jerry Reamer Obituary
Wilmington - Age 71, passed away December 18, 2018.
Jerry served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. He worked for 40 years as a Hazardous Materials Specialist for DuPont. Jerry loved sports and his family. He was extremely proud of all the accomplishments of both his sons and never hesitated to brag to everyone. His sense of humor will be greatly missed by all of us.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 35 years, Joanne; sons, Matthew and Christopher; brothers, Gene and George (Ann); sister, Bonnie Yarnell (Darrell); as well as nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life is planned for March 5, 2019 - Jerry's birthday. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) or Wounded Warrior Project (woundedwarriorproject.org). I have fond memories of my old grade school buddy growing up in Richardson Park...school, scouts, church and sports. Lost touch when I moved away but reconnected in our early days at DuPont. God Bless his family...what a guy!

Just as our prayers sustained Jerry during his lifetime; our prayers will guide him to Heaven. Long ago, I had the privilege of meeting Jerry because he was my brother's best friend. Hanging out with him and my brother was always fun. Now that they are in Heaven together, their friendship can again thrive. Your memories will sustain you through this grief; I promise.

My deepest sympathies to the Reamer Family. Jerry was one of the first people I met when I started at DuPont. He was a big help to me. Loved playing softball, I recall and he always had a smile and a great sense of humor. I have fond memories of him.
