Jesse Cloud Obituary

Jesse E. Cloud

Jesse E. Cloud, age 85, of Newark, DE went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 30, 2011. Jesse proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II on the Battleship USS New Mexico. He was a truck driver for over 40 years for Yellow Freight and established many friendships with the associates of W.L. Gore. Jesse was a member of the Newark Senior Center and will be remembered for his kind heart that he shared with everyone he knew.

Jesse is survived by his son, Gary Cloud; daughters, Evalene Pyle and Paula Cloud; brother, Francis Cloud; sisters, Evalene Knotts and Eleanor Willis; 2 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Agnes Bedford Cloud; and former wife, Virginia P. Cloud; sisters, Betty Pierce and Marguerite Hastings; and parents, Jesse and Anna Cloud.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, November 7, in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE 19701 at 11 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Compassionate Care, 5610 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808.
