Joan Bossert Obituary
Wilmington - Joan Taylor Bossert, 87, died peacefully at home on Friday, April 30, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her wonderful parents, Lillian Magargal Taylor and Roland P. Taylor, her beloved husband of 49 years, Harry "Bud" Bossert, her cherished sister, Jean Kempski and husband, John Kempski, all from Wilmington, Delaware.
Joan is survived by her two daughters, Donna Bossert Ward (Ben King) and Laurie Bossert Nichols (Kevin Nichols), wonderful ex-son-in-law, Michael Ward, three grandchildren, Jessica Nichols White (Greg White), Ally Ward Nagle (Jeff Nagle), Evan Ward (Abby Musial), two great grandchildren, Colten White and Jack Nagle, brother-in-law, Robert Bossert (Barbara Bossert), along with several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Thursday, May 6 from 11:00AM-12:30PM. Funeral services will begin at 12:30PM, followed by interment in Red Clay Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Faithful Friends (www.faithfulfriends.us), Delaware Humane Association (www.delawarehumane.org), Delaware SPCA (www.delspca.org) or Bayada Hospice (www.bayada.com) who provided excellent and compassionate care.
