Even though I knew your Dad a short time it was a pleasure knowing him and to call him a friend. He was such a gentleman!

Although I have known Joe´s son Chris for over 30 years, I met Joe about 5 years ago at the DuPont Country Club. Whenever our path´s crossed no matter how brief, Joe would have a smile on his face and would take the time to stop and talk to me. Usually the conversation was either his swing or our families. Even at 80 years old Joe still had that desire to lower his handicap. We would run into each other at the driving range, on the putting green, between 9´s or just getting in or out of our cars. No matter where Joe would take the time to share stories about a round of golf, a swing thought or an update on where and what Chris was doing. Joe may you Rest In Peace and continue your thirst to lower your handicap. Joe I will miss your smile but more importantly I will miss the moments however brief that we were able to share our life´s memories together. I know you will bring a tremendous joy to heaven as you did on earth. May God Bless You! Sincerely Paula and Dick Matthias
