Holly, Emily, and Eric, I was very saddened to hear of Jay's passing. Jay and I worked together at Gore for many years. In fact we were office mates when he and Holly first met.

Jay was a very caring person, who put family first. He enjoyed the simple things in life - the moments that really do matter.

Holly, Emily and Eric: It was roughly 10 years ago that we all met and became fast friends. But we quickly realized that if Jay considered you a friend, he also considered you family. And when we became part of the Middleton family we quickly became part of the Landenberg family. We have so many wonderful memories of Jay and many really funny memories. All I need to say is toilet on the front porch and pizza box on the side of the road while he was weed whacking. Remember? Greg, Teddy and I will miss our dear friend. But we have such loving memories to help us through the hard times. It was our good fortune to have been able to call him friend and we will miss him every day. We will meet again Jay. Love to you Holly, Emily and Eric. And love to you Jay.

Hello Holly, Emily and Eric:

I am so sorry for your loss . . . Jay was a wonderful man that will be greatly missed.

I knew your husband and father as a work associate at Gore. He quickly became one of my best friends at the plant. More recently I enjoyed stopping to talk with him while he was cutting the grass or weeding out on Newark Road.

The Mass said in his honor today at St. Gabriel’s was wonderful.

I will remember Jay as a man with a big heart that truly cared about his friends, the community and most importantly . . . the three of you.

Please take care of yourselves.

Holly, all the Middletons and Bernard families ... Jay and his spirit for laughter, family, friends and all children has always been of significance in my life since my junior high days when he and David fell into my world. The day-to-day Jay
will be missed but his strength and zest for Life shall shine on in every day, every way with each dawn and sunset, the night sky and stars. "In the stars I shall live and in the stars, I shall be watching
and laughing".. Shalom my friend, Lynn Pennock Jerry

Having known Jay and the Middleton family all my life this is not only a said time for the family but also the community. I had the opportunity to get to know Jay a little bit better because of his passion for his little orange VW convertible. I helped him to get it back on the road and he was able to drive it in the Kennett parade something he longed to do. As we all know from experience the pain will lessen but the memories will not be forgotten. We will miss you. Keep driving with the top down and enjoy every moment. Bobby Rzucidlo and Family
