Joseph Wooleyhan Obituary
Wilmington - Age 84, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully at Christiana Hospital on Friday March 23, 2018 surrounded by his family.
Born in Wilmington, Pat was the son of the late Charles and Nellie Wooleyhan. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper in the Korean War. He earned a purple heart and the combat infantry badge for his service. Later, he worked as an oil burner mechanic. He worked for 21 ½ years and 3 months without missing any days of work. Pat was also a member of the Teamsters Local 326.
He will be dearly missed by his wife of 60 years, Lou (Warwick) Wooleyhan; his sons, Joseph Patrick, Jr. and Michael David; his brother-in-law, Fred Warwick of Wilmington; and his extended family and caregivers, Joseph Lee Banks and Renee Moore, both of Milford.
Family and friends are invited to visitation on Wednesday, April 4th, after 10:30 AM at Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington where funeral services will begin at 11:30 AM. Burial will be at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE.
