Lena MCCUSKER Obituary

Lena L. Mingoia McCusker Age 72 of the Linwood section of Lower Chichester, PA died Friday, March 5, 2004, at her home. Mrs. McCusker was born in Marcus Hook, where she was reared and educated, attending Marcus Hook Elementary School and then Eddystone High School. Lena was a woman who devoted her life to her home and her family. She worked as a waitress for Clanks Bar in Marcus Hook for 33 years. She was a member of the Holy Saviour Catholic Church in Linwood and a former member of the church's ladies auxiliary. She was a clerk at the election polls for Lower Chichester Township for over 20 years. She was an avid bowler for the Radnor Green Women's Bowling League in DE and the Delaware Senior Bowling League. She was the sister of the late Angeline Mingoia and Julie Seivert. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, George J. McCusker, Sr.; 3 sons, George J. McCusker, Jr. of Chesapeake City, MD, Samuel C. McCusker of Honolulu, HI, Joseph McCusker of Newark, DE; and 3 daughters, Patricia A. Emmertz of Bethany Beach, DE, Mary Beth Jennings of Bethel Township and Nancy M. Good of Wilmington, DE. Other survivors include her sister, Marian Gill of Mt. Poconos, PA; 15 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. Family and friends may call from 7-9 pm on Tuesday evening, March 9, and after 9 am on Wednesday, March 10, at the WARD FUNERAL HOME, 1459 Market St, Linwood. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral mass at 11 am on Wednesday at Holy Saviour Catholic Church, 108 E. Ridge Rd., Linwood, PA 19061. Interment will follow in Lawn Croft Cemetery in Lower Chichester. Memorial contributions in her memory to the above church will be appreciated by the family.
