Liberata URO Obituary

Liberata Uro Age 93 of Hockessin, DE passed away Monday, August 4, 2003 at home, surrounded by her family. Mrs. Uro was born in Ortona, Italy November 21, 1909 and was one of 10 children born to the late Raffaele and Serafina Buzzelli. She was a kind and gentle woman who devoted her entire life to caring for her family. She especially enjoyed crocheting blankets for all her loved ones. Mrs. Uro was a devoted wife to her husband, the late Antonio Uro. She was a loving mother to her son, Vittorio Uro and his wife, Amelia; and her daughter, Maria DiDeo and her husband, Paolino, with whom she made her home. She was the proud grandmother of Felicetta and her husband, James Dooley Jr., Tony DiDeo and his wife, Nery, Donna and her husband, Robert Brescia Jr., and Anthony Uro and his wife, Jennifer; and the great grandmother to 8 wonderful great grandchildren. Mrs. Uro is also survived by 3 brothers and their families in Ortona, Italy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 am on Friday, August 8 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 901 N. DuPont St., Wilmington. Friends may call from 6-8 pm on Thursday evening, August 7 at the Corleto Latino Funeral Home, 808 N. Union St., Wilmington. Interment will follow the mass in Cathedral Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mrs. Uro's memory to St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church.
