Lisa Hackman Obituary
Lisa Renae "Stardust" Hackman, age 21, of New Castle, DE, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, July 19, 2013 after a life-long battle with cancer. She is survived by her father and mother, Christian Lee and Garla Renae Hackman of New Castle, DE, brother, Benjamin Jacob E. E. Hackman, sister, Amy R. Hackman, Kelly Whitlow Beaumont (Aunt), all of New Castle; Carolyn Lawley King (Aunt) of Newark; paternal grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. E. Ellsworth Hackman, III of Hockessin; and Matthew Hackman (Uncle) of Warwick, Rhode Island, as well as cousins on both coasts, all of whom loved her very much.She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Ruth "Willa" Lawley and her Papa and best friend, Billy John Lawley.
Lisa was a 2009 graduate of A.I. DuPont High School. She was a passionate free spirit who possessed such silent strength and touched those that knew her with the heart of a lion and a beautiful smile. She was loved and admired by so many for the strength she showed in her everyday battles. As one of Lady GaGa's Little Monsters, Lisa embraced her differences and all that life threw her way. She was a true force to be reckoned with.
Peace finally came to our beautiful baby girl as she came full circle into the embrace of her loving and waiting LORD and Savior. We love and miss you so very much Lisabuns! Shine on you crazy diamond.
A celebration of Lisa's life will be held on Friday, August 2, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Church, 2414 Pennsylvania Ave., Wilmington, DE 19806. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to A.I. DuPont Hospital for Children, 1600 Rockland Road, Wilmington, DE 19803. To express an online condolence, visit www.strano-feeley.com.

I'll never forget you, Lisa, and I'll always love you. I miss you incredibly. I'm going to turn 30 without you in my life and that makes me ache more than I could've imagined this past decade.

Many beautiful cards, phone calls, visits, and gifts have been received since the unexpected passing of our precious Lisa. We are very grateful. Lisa touched many lives from all walks of life and I believe even in her death she will continue to do so. "Choose Life" was her fervent plea. I pray many babies will be born because of Lisa's voice. I miss Lisa so very, very much. "Mommy loves you, Buns."

I was saddened to hear about the passing of my dear friend Lisa...Although she had suffered with health problems for many years, she was one of the bravest, happiest, most cheerful people I ever knew! She always greeted the world with a smile...She will be remembered for her big heart, her sense of humor and her positive attitude! Lisa will be truly missed by everyone who knew her! Rest in peace my friend!

Garla, Chris, Jake and Amy you all I know I love you and how much I love Lisa.
My heart aches not only for your loss and my own loss but for the loss in our world. Maybe this world wasn't ready to see what Lisa could do - unbridled and well. I believe Gods country was the only place equipped to fully appreciate the passion she would unleash.
