Age 75, of Frankford, DE, formerly of Baltimore, MD, died Monday, October 20, 2008, at Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE.
Lorraine was born in Baltimore, MD to the late Elmer L. and Hazel V. Lewis Kirby. In her early years she was a nurse and then later became a florist and also a caterer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Capt. Robert E. Phelps, USCG Ret., in 2006. She is survived by her son Joseph E. Bittner, Jr. and his wife Paula, of Frankford, DE; sister, Katherine Kirby, of Dagsboro, DE; and 2 granddaughters, Michele Bittner and Crystal Bittner.
Services, Saturday, October 25, 12 noon, at HASTINGS FUNERAL HOME, Selbyville, DE with Rev. Dr. Bruce Cooke officiating. Interment in Mariner's Bethel Cemetery, Ocean View, DE. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service.
