Charles Burton CAMPBELL

Charles Burton Campbell "Burt" Charles Burton Campbell, age 74 of Cooper Farm, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 18, 2004 surrounded by family. "He was left a void in our lives that no one will ever fill." Burt was born in Newark, DE to the late Peter and Edith Robinson Campbell. He proudly served with the 25th Division Army Engineers in Korea. Upon his return home he worked at the General Motors Boxwood Road Plant until establishing Campbell Construction Company that served the community for 25 years. He enjoyed boating, fishing, home projects and family activities. Burt is survived by his loving and devoted wife Phyllis Fenimore Campbell, retired Vice President of Goldey-Beacon College. They will celebrate their 50th anniversary on May 15, 2004. In addiction to his wife, he is survived by his son Charles B. "Burt" Campbell Jr. and his wife Ann; grandchildren Jennifer Donahue and her husband Steven, Peter Burton Campbell and his fiancváe Jennifer Geesaman; his beautiful great granddaughter, Morgan Elizabeth Donahue. Burt is also survived by his brother N. Eugene Campbell and his wife Charlotte of Georgetown, DE and his sister Janet R. Hendrickson of Pike Creek and 4 nieces Lori Hendrickson, Susan Short, Shelly Billings and Bunny Steele. Mr. Campbell is predeceased by his brother Donald Campbell of Phoenix, AZ. Services will be 11 am Wednesday, March 24, 2004 in the MCCRERY MEMORIAL CHAPEL Kirkwood Highway and Duncan Road where friends may call after 10. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
