Mary BUKAY Obituary

Mary Hillman Bukay Of Wilmington, DE died Tuesday, December 18, 2001 in Shipley Manor. Born in Oxford, PA, Mrs. Bukay was a member of St. Joseph on the Brandywine Church, Fraim Senior Center and Memorial Hospital Nursing Alumni. A graduate of Homeopathic School of Nursing in Wilmington, she worked in the field of nursing for 35 years, retiring from Wilmington Memorial Center in 1979. She enjoyed traveling, bowling, golf and bridge. Her first husband, Edward Hillman, died in 1965. Her second husband, Benjamin Bukay, died in 1992. She is survived by 4 stepdaughters, Patricia Benko of Thorndale, PA, Jeannette Dole of Scottsdale, AZ, Marcia Bukay of Newark, DE, Theresa Mitchell of New Castle, DE; and 2 stepsons, Michael Bukay of Point Richmond, CA and Richard Bukay of Newark, DE. She is also survived by 10 step grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, December 22 at 10:30 am in St. Joseph on the Brandywine Church, 10 Old Church Rd., Greenville, where friends may call after 9:30. Entombment will be in Cathedral Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Delaware Hospice, 3515 Silverside Rd., Suite 100 Clayton Bldg., Wilmington, DE 19810, the Arthritis Foundation, 100 W. 10th St., Suite 206, Wilmington, DE 19801, or Memorial Hospital Alumni Nurses Scholarship Fund.
