Mary J. Saxton

Mary J. Saxton, age 84, of Newark, DE, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 3, 2012. Mrs. Saxton worked at Winklers Restaurant as a waitress while her children were attending their early education. When they were grown, she returned to school and earned a degree in nursing and worked at the Delaware State Hospital.

Mrs. Saxton is survived by her daughters: Jean Bennett and husband Richard of Montchanin, DE, Sharon Justice and husband Tim of Smyrna, DE, and Patricia Bailey and husband Butch of Camden, DE; stepson, David C. Saxton and wife Jeanette of Hockessin, DE; 9 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, David D. Saxton.

Service and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent in Mary's memory to Heartland Hospice, 256 Chapman Road, Ste. 102, Newark, DE 19702. To express an online condolence, visit www.strano-feeley.com.
