Melvin Wing Obituary
Wilmington - Passed to Eternal Glory on Friday, May 4, 2018. He retired from the State of Delaware after 30 years of service; husband of Betty (Hawkes) Wing; father of Keenan Wing, Sr. (Dawn) and Aaron Wing, Sr. (Marcella); grandfather of Keenan Jr., Iesha, Darius, Pierre Jr., and Aaron Jr.; great-grandfather of Kyrin Wing; brother of Gloria, Connie, Patsy, Maurice (Barbara), Ellen and the late Ernest Jr., Dennis, Charles, Zetta, Tina, Mickey, Dickie and Billy.
Funeral, 7 pm, Friday, May 11th at Ezion-Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, 800 N. Walnut St, Wilm., DE 19801; viewing from 5-6:45 pm only. Burial, Gracelawn Memorial Park. Online condolences to: congofuneralhome.com.

Melvin at a Public Health Week Meeting

I worked with Melvin in the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program for many years. He was a great colleague to have. He was easy going and had a great sense of humor. He really cared about the kids we served. I have thought about him often in these 15 years I have been retired from that program, and even though I've lived in Arizona for that time and not had any contact with Melvin, I feel a sense of loss. Melvin touched many lives and the memory of him will live on through those he knew. My condolences to his family and loved ones.
